Project Engineer

Worked on several turnkey control systems for offshore platform control, including safety systems, control systems and fire & gas systems. Projects that include BP Horn Mountain, Anadarko Marco Polo and Anadarko Tarantula.

Currently tasked as the Subject Matter Expert for controls on the Noble Leviathan ICSS project.

Helped Develop a subsea well control system that utilizes many computer technologies including C++ communication drivers, MS SQL Server historian and PLC primary control.

Project Engineer on several subsea control system installations, including ExxonMobil?s Diana Platform as well as Petrobras EPR and the ExxonMobil/BP Mica project

I also have specialized programming experience with MicroChip PIC microcontrollers, AVR Microcontrollers, Baily SLC/Infi 90 family of controllers, GE Fanuc & Allen Bradley PLCs, a few robots and some numerical controlled machinery, as well as other minor process control related equipment.

My main strength is in Allen Bradley ControlLogix PLC programming and integration. I have extensive experience with Modbus, ControlNet and EthernetIP. I have some experience with DeviceNet.

Personal Background

I have been married since June 1994.  I enjoy water skiing, snow skiing, and riding motorcycles.  I am a certified Open Water SCUBA diver. 

I have a private pilot certificate with single engine land and glider ratings. I have served as an official in several national and regional sailplane competitions.  I have built and flown a Van's RV-7 kitplane. I am also currently volunteering with MakerPlane which is an attempt to design and build an open source aircraft. My part of the project is leading the avionics development.

I also play Bass Guitar in the Worship Band at my Church, where I also serve as an Elder.
